LOS ANGELES, California (February 3, 2009) -- Ducommun Incorporated (NYSE: DCO) today announced that its Board of Directors elected Jay L. Haberland to the Board, effective immediately. Mr. Haberland’s appointment brings the number of directors on the Ducommun Board of Directors to seven.
Jay Haberland has recently retired from United Technologies Corporation (UTC) where he served for fourteen years, most recently as Vice President, Business Controls. Prior to this position, Mr. Haberland served as Vice President and CFO of Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, acting CFO of UTC, and Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of UTC. Earlier, Mr. Haberland served in a variety of senior financial positions at The Black & Decker Corporation as well as at Price WaterhouseCoopers.
Joseph C. Berenato, Chairman and Chief Executive officer of Ducommun, stated, “Jay brings to our Board of Directors strong financial and operational skills as well as an intimate knowledge of the aerospace and defense industry.
